MyGoalBook™ is a personal productivity, goal-setting, and coaching support platform designed to help users clarify priorities, track progress, and improve daily habits. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the MyGoalBook application (the “App”) and related services (collectively, the “Services”). The Services provide informational and self-development content only and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial services. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of MyGoalBook on iOS, Android, and web platforms.
A. Information You Provide Directly • Account & Profile: name, email address, password/credentials, occupation, and optional biographical details you choose to share. • User Content: goals, goal steps, habits, habit completions, notes, reflections, coaching conversation messages, calendar entries, and progress data. • Coaching Interactions: messages you send to the AI coach, including any personal context you share during conversations. • Support & Feedback: support requests, surveys, and in-app feedback. • Promo Codes: codes you enter to redeem promotional offers. B. Information Collected Automatically • Device Information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version. • Usage Data: features accessed, screens viewed, timestamps of activity, and interaction patterns. • Approximate Location: derived from IP address only (city/region level). We do not collect precise GPS location. • Crash and Diagnostic Data: error logs and performance data to improve app stability. C. Billing & Subscription Information • Subscription status and platform (Apple App Store, Google Play, or web via Stripe). • Transaction receipts from app store platforms. • We do NOT receive or store full credit card numbers, bank account details, or other direct payment instruments. All payment processing is handled by Apple, Google, or Stripe. Sensitive Data Notice: Do not submit Social Security numbers, medical records, payment card numbers, or other highly sensitive identifiers into goal, habit, note, or coaching fields. Any sensitive data you voluntarily provide is processed only to deliver the requested features.
• Service Delivery: to create and manage your account, store your goals, habits, notes, and reflections, and provide the core app experience. • AI Coaching: to send your coaching messages and relevant context (such as your goals, habits, and notes) to our AI provider to generate personalized coaching responses. • Subscription Management: to verify your subscription status and provide access to premium features. • App Improvement: to analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve features. • Communications: to send service-related notifications, respond to support requests, and provide account updates. • Security & Compliance: to protect against fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. We share data with the following categories of service providers, each of which is contractually required to protect your data with standards equivalent to or greater than those described in this Privacy Policy: • Authentication Provider (Supabase): processes your email and password to securely manage account sign-in. Supabase does not have access to your goals, habits, notes, or other app content. • AI Processing Provider (OpenAI): receives your coaching conversation messages, along with contextual information such as your goals, habits, and notes, to generate AI coaching responses. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policies and does not use API inputs to train their models. • Subscription Management (RevenueCat): processes your subscription status, purchase receipts, and anonymous identifiers to manage in-app purchases across platforms. RevenueCat does not receive your goals, notes, or other personal content. • Payment Processing (Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe): handles all payment transactions. We receive only subscription status and transaction receipts, not your payment card details. • Infrastructure & Hosting: our servers and database are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure that stores your encrypted account and content data. We may also share data: • With legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or court order. • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with prior notice to users). • With your explicit consent.
MyGoalBook is designed as a private, personal tool: • Your goals, habits, notes, reflections, and coaching conversations are private to your account. • No user content is shared with or visible to other users. • Admin users may access aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics for service improvement purposes only.
All data is processed and stored in the United States. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States. The Services are intended for use within the United States.
Active Accounts: your data is retained for as long as your account remains active. Account Deletion: you may delete your account at any time through the following methods: • In the App: go to Settings and tap “Delete Account.” • By Email: send a request from your registered email to support@ourodysea.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.” When you delete your account, we permanently remove: • Your profile and account information • All goals, goal steps, habits, and habit completions • All notes and reflections • All AI coaching conversation history • Subscription and promo code records linked to your account We may retain minimal technical logs (such as server access logs) for up to 90 days after deletion for security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance purposes. After 90 days, all remaining data is permanently purged. Compliance records (such as transaction receipts required by financial regulations) may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data: • Access: you may view all of your personal data within the App at any time (goals, habits, notes, reflections, coaching history, and profile information). • Correction: you may update or correct your profile information and content directly in the App. • Deletion: you may delete your entire account and all associated data as described in Section 7. • Data Export: you may request a copy of your data by emailing support@ourodysea.com. • Consent Withdrawal: you may withdraw consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account. Note that withdrawing consent may prevent you from using the Services. To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app tools or contact support@ourodysea.com.
By creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. Consent is obtained through: • Mandatory agreement checkboxes during account registration. • Continued use of the Services after updates to this Policy (with in-app notification of material changes). You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including: • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. • Secure password hashing through our authentication provider. • Access controls limiting employee and contractor access to personal data. • Regular security monitoring and vulnerability assessment. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
MyGoalBook is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete the account and associated data promptly. If you believe a child under 13 is using MyGoalBook, please contact us at support@ourodysea.com.
MyGoalBook uses OpenAI’s artificial intelligence technology to provide coaching-style responses. What data is sent: When you use the AI Coach or the “Get AI Steps” feature, the following user-entered content may be sent to OpenAI: • Goals, goal steps, and goal descriptions • Notes and reflections • Chat messages and prompts you enter • Habits and habit context What is NOT sent: Your email address, password, payment information, or other personal account credentials are never shared with OpenAI. Who receives the data: The data is sent to OpenAI (https://openai.com) via their API. OpenAI processes this data solely to generate a coaching response. Why it is sent: To generate personalized AI coaching responses, step suggestions, and insights based on your goals and progress. How OpenAI handles the data: OpenAI processes your data according to their API data usage policies. OpenAI does not use API inputs to train their models. Your consent: Before any data is sent to OpenAI, the app will ask for your explicit permission through an in-app consent prompt. You may grant or revoke this consent at any time in the app’s Settings under “AI Data Sharing.” If you do not consent, no data will be sent to OpenAI, and AI features (Coach and AI-generated steps) will be unavailable. All other app features (goals, habits, notes, calendar) function independently without AI. Additional disclosures: • AI-generated responses are not reviewed by licensed professionals or OurOdysea staff before being shown to you. • AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. • AI coaching is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. • We do not sell your data to OpenAI or any other third party.
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes: • We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. • We will notify you through an in-app notification or via the email address associated with your account. • Continued use of the Services after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
